A Guide to Longevity & Scent Throw
Note: Warm times are estimates. A higher-wattage lamp provides a more intense "burst" of fragrance, while a lower wattage will extend the life of your vessel
Absorb & Refresh: Unlike a flame that consumes wax, a heat lamp only dissipates the fragrance oils. Once the scent begins to soften (typically after 8–12 hours of warming), simply dip a paper towel into the top layer of liquefied wax to absorb the odorless portion. This reveals a fresh layer of highly concentrated soy and botanical oils underneath, no pouring or mess required.
Adjust Your Ambience: If using an adjustable lamp, start with the heat closer to the wax for an immediate scent bloom. Once the room is filled, raise the lamp slightly to maintain a steady, lingering throw.
Savor the Scent: To keep your fragrance notes crisp and vibrant, we recommend warming in 3–4 hour intervals. This prevents "over-cooking" the wax and ensures the botanical oils stay true to their profile from the first melt to the last.
